In one of the final pieces of preparation for the Small Business Revolution team’s upcoming visit to Bristol Borough, a group of nearly 50 people gathered in the heavy snow Saturday morning to clean the town up.
The town regularly hosts cleanups to beautify the town and keep the town looking good, but this was the first cleanup hosted inย winter months.

“If we had five people show up, I would be grateful,” said Jose Acevedo, a member of the Bristol Borough Garden Club and the cleanup committee. Acevedo said he organizes the cleanups as part of a group effort to “keep Bristol beautiful.”

Even through the bitter cold and snow, almost 50 people turned out to clean up the town ahead of the visit Tuesday and Wednesday from the Small Business Revolution team, which is staking out Bristol for the final round of competition.
Acevedo has been involved in Bristol Borough: Raising the Bar since its inception. He believes that in doing work like cleaning up the town, volunteers are showing both outside communities and young people in town that there is a future for the borough and people who want to live there.
