Her white Nissan Sentra was a mangled mess, pressed against a fence and between two vehicles parked in the driveway of a home at the corner of Cedar Avenue and River Road.
Neighbors rushed to the scene and then first responders at 7:48 p.m.
It didn’t look good. Debris was everywhere and engine fluids dripped from the wrecked vehicles.

About 110 feet from where Richards’ body laid at the corner of River Road and First Avenue, smoke was pouring from an overturned GMC Jimmy driven by 52-year-old Louis DeMora, a resident of a nearby street.
Medics took DeMora to Aria Health’s Torresdale campus in Philadelphia where he was recovering.

Around the same time, police and firefighters placed a white tarp around Richards’ remains and began the task of determining what caused the fatal crash that left one family mourning the death of a young woman just days before the holidays.

While neighbors talked about various reasons the crash along the 25 MPH roadway could have happened and ended so violently, police took measurements and inspected what was left of Richards mangled Nissan.
Police Lt. Ralph Johnson said the cause had not been finalized and officers continued to investigate the crash as of late Thursday afternoon. He added the results of the case will be forwarded to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office for review and recommendations.
