
A Trenton man has been charged in connection to a June car accident on I-95 in Bristol Township that left his passenger injured.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Pennsylvania State Police, the crash ejected a passenger during the one-car crash. The passenger was injured and transported to the hospital by another motorist.

Thaddeus Owens, 36,was originally discovered by a Bristol Township officer nearly a quarter of a mile away from his car. Initial observations by police mentioned Owens being covered in blood and glassy, bloodshot eyes, court papers stated.
After submitting to field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer, Owens was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Middletown for blood work. According to police paperwork, Owens’ blood alcohol content level came back at 0.112 percent, which is above the legal limit pf 0.08 percent.
Officials reported that that Owens’ driver’s license was suspended at the time of the crash.

When the troopers reconstructed the scene of the crash, they determined that the car, a 2014 blue Nissan Sentra, was travelling on the shoulder at about 75 mph in a zone where the speed limit was reduced to 50 mph for construction, court documents state.
Owens is being charged with felony aggravated assault by a vehicle while driving under the influence, aggravated assault by a vehicle and being involved in an accident involving injury while not properly licensed. He is also being charged with misdemeanors including recklessly endangering another person and driving under the influence. He is facing summary charges involving recklessly driving, failing to drive at a safe speed and disregarding traffic lanes.

Owens has not yet been arraigned.
