Police Officer Injured In Crash With Firefighter

A police officer suffered a minor injury in a crash with a volunteer firefighter.

Falls Township police Lt. Hank Ward said the police officer was on patrol in the area of Stanwood and Chataham roads in the Fairless Hills section of the township when the crash happened around 1 p.m. The police SUV was struck by a Jeep driven by a volunteer firefighter responding to a house fire in the Levittown section of the township.

The officer was taken to the hospital for treatment of the minor head injury and released, Ward said.
