Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said the fire was started by an electrical problem behind a knee wall on the second floor of the home. The cause has been ruled accidental.

Aside from two dogs that were saved, a turtle was also rescued from the burning home, Dippolito said. He added that he was unsure the condition of rabbits who were also in the home.

Flames bursts through the roof as firefighters worked to put down the blaze, a neighbor said.

The homeowners were not inside the dwelling at the time of the fire, Dippolito said.

The fire was contained to the second-floor but the home is not habitable at the moment.
