
Two people were taken into custody after a fatal overdose Tuesday evening.
Falls Township police Lt. Hank Ward said the department was investigating a Fairless Hills fatal overdose death – the fifth fatal overdose in the past 11 days – and had taken two people into custody. The two people in custody were suspected to be with the person at the time they overdosed.

On Monday, LevittownNow.com reported on the rash of 10 overdoses in 10 days – four of the overdoses were fatal.
Two of the four fatal overdoses were linked to heroin from Philadelphia and the other two were connected to heroin from Trenton.
So far this year, the township has dealt with more than 20 fatal overdoses and about 80 non-fatal overdoses, police said.

Detective Sgt. Chris Clark said Monday that police were testing the heroin connected to previous overdoses to see if an additive was to cause for the rash in overdoses.
