Township Manager Stephanie Teoli Kuhls confirmed to LevittownNow.com that the Planning Commission meeting set for Wednesday was cancelled.
The reason for the cancellation, according Building and Zoning Director Pat Duffy, was because the company behind the proposed development, Metropolitan Development Group, has “decided to revise the plans based on the (township’s) review letter comments.” He added the company plans to resubmit their plans for the Planning Commission at an undetermined date.
Previous plans from Metropolitan Development Group have set out to build more than 100 single-family homes at the farm that sits off Langhorne-Newtown Road across from the George School.

There have been discussions between several groups and Middletown residents about trying to preserve a portion of the farm along Fulling Mill Road, but no firm funding has materialized. However, recent plans from the Metropolitan Development Group have included more open space than their previous proposals.

The property remains under the ownership of the Stone family and its sale to Metropolitan Development Group is contingent upon approve of their proposal.
