UPDATE: Police Say They Arrived To Find Man Bleeding ‘Profusely’ After Stabbing

A man is clinging to life after a stabbing in Middletown overnight.

The victim was listed in critical condition at St. Mary Medical Center as of Saturday morning, police said.

Officers were called to the 300 block of Hulme Avenue between Third and Fourth streets around midnight early Saturday for a reported stabbing. The stabbing was between two neighbors, police said.

Joshua David Dornauer, 25, was accused of stabbing his neighbor. He was charged Saturday morning with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and possession of an instrument of crime.

Police recovered a knife and other evidence from the scene.

Police Chief Joseph Bartorilla said more charges could be added if the man in the hospital succumbs to his injuries.

Dornauer was arraigned by on-call District Judge Michael Burns and sent to prison on 10 percent of $500,000 bail.
