Falls Township police say a man just couldn’t stay away from his ex-girlfriend.
Police allege they warned John Asta, 55, several times to stay away from his ex-girlfriend before arresting him on Saturday. The requests for Asta to stop contacting his ex-girlfriend happened between September 3 and October 8, according to court records.

Saturday’s incident started when Asta’s ex-girlfriend told police he emailed her that he had stopped by her house. “If you must press charges, that’s okay, ” he allegedly wrote.
Officer James Moratti wrote in court papers that he was on the phone with Asta’s ex-girlfriend in reference to a Facebook post Saturday evening when she heard her the 55 year old knocking at the door.
Another officer was dispatched and took Asta into custody at the woman’s front door, police said.
