Levittown Woman Returning From Visiting Military Fiancé Dies In Crash

A Levittown woman was killed in a North Carolina car wreck earlier this week.

Sara Downs, 21, of Bristol Township’s Levittown section, was traveling through North Carolina when the two-vehicle crash happened Monday morning. A call to authorities in North Carolina was not immediately returned but the crash reportedly happened just outside of Greenville.

“Sara traveled from Pennsylvania to visit her boyfriend (fiancé) who was being deployed from North Carolina. Upon leaving to return back home, she was in a car accident,” a GoFundMe page set up to help pay for funeral costs reads.

According to an obituary, Downs was a 2013 Harry S. Truman graduate and was taking classes to become a physical therapist.
