Sunday police activity on a normally quiet Middletown street was related to a homicide investigation out of New Jersey.
Neighbors and police on Sunday confirmed that officers swarmed a house on Canal Road in Levittown as part of an ongoing investigation that involves multiple jurisdictions and an FBI task force. Three law enforcement sources LevittownNow.com spoke to on Monday confirmed the investigation was related to last Friday morning’s homicide of 20-year-old Keyauna Hughey, who was gunned down in a second-floor Trenton bedroom while she was with her boyfriend.

NJ.com reported that Hughey was pronounced dead at the scene and that she lived in the apartment.
In addition to searching the Cobalt Ridge home and property, police focused their attention on a green SUV parked outside.

Middletown and New Jersey law enforcement officials were not available for comment Monday, but neighbors reported seeing at least two men at the Canal Road house in handcuffs. As of Monday evening, it was unclear if any arrests were made and whether the two people in handcuffs were alleged to be connected to the homicide.
