Four locals have been arrested in connection with an incident in New Hope.

According to New Hope Borough police, officersย were dispatched at 11:11 a.m. last Saturday to the area ofย Chestnut Street for a disturbance, and upon arrival found that three subjects had come to the home demanding money from one of the occupants staying at the residence. The three subjects forced their way into the house, and a fight ensued betweenย the four occupants of the home and the three intruders.ย Once the residents called police, three subjects allegedly fled the area.

Atย 3:04 a.m. Sunday,ย the three subjects, along with two additional male subjects – Scott Dahill, 23 of Levittown, and Justin Taylor, 21, of Croydon – arrived back at the Chestnut Street house and demanded that the occupants exit the residence. Violence was threatened against the residents of the house once again and Mason was seen holding a baseball bat. The residents did not exit the house but instead called the police,ย authorities said.

The New Hope police officers that responded were assisted by Solebury Township police in taking the five subjects into custody.
