As LevittownNow.com first reported earlier this month, the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales are coming to Bristol Borough on Labor Day.

The Budweiser Clydesdales caravan will last for about an hour and a half, beginning at 3 p.m. on Labor Day, September 5. The caravan will stage at the Simon and Schuster yard, which will be closed to the public.ย ย The caravan will then head north on Radcliffe Street to the Bristol Moose Lodge before continuing to the Pines Tavern, then down Farragut Avenue to Pond Street to Old Route 13 and to Mill Street. The clydesdales trip through Bristol will finally finish along the riverfront.

Although the staging is closed to the public, the closing consisting of the unhitching and transportation boarding will be open to the all to see.

According to Bill Pezza of Bristol Borough: Raising The Bar, the riverfront will likely be the best spot for photos of the horses. The clydesdales will be on display there for about 30 minutes.

It is important to note that parking will be restricted in the borough for the duration of the visit and trip through town. Parking on Mill Street will be unavailable during the clydesdales trip and there will be a large area in the Mill Street parking lot that will be closed for the hitching and transportation loading.

During the caravan, the clydesdales will make a number of stops to deliver Budweiser products. Some of these stops include the Bristol Moose Lodge, Pines Tavern, Apollo Pizza, Borough Pub, Bertโ€™s Place, Phinny Mageeโ€™s, Mill Street Cantina, King George II Inn and Riverfront Park. Budweiser clients not on the route are more than welcome to stop in at the unhitching spot to receive their product and take photos with the horses, Pezza said.

Volunteer escorts for the horses were chosen via lottery. The winners are:ย Lisa Lee, Susan Walsh, Elwood Dougherty, Diana Spearing, Karen Brodie, Dave McGlynn Michele Herzog, Rosalie Berrocal John Brennan Julie Grafenstein, Peg Kindt, Michael Myers Dawn Marsonoski Myers Kathy Niwinski, Brandan Murray, Richard Voroscak Elisa Baxt and Denise Smith.
