First-time bus riders will be able to learn the ropes this week.

The Bristol Township School District and bus contractor Student Transportation of America Inc. (STA) will be offering a school bus safety orientation program for all elementary school-aged children who have not yet rode a bus to classes.

The schedule for the orientations:

  • Mill Creek Elementary – Tuesday, August 30, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Brookwood Elementary – Wednesday, August 31, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Mill Creek Elementary for Keystone Elementary Students – Thursday, September 1, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Bus rides and orientations will take place roughly every 20 minutes.

The event, according to a district spokesperson, will give students an opportunity to ride a school bus and learn important bus rules.
