Middletown officers finishing up with an unrelated call on Woodbourne Road late Saturday night spotted a Jeep speed past them. The officers jumped in their patrol cars and attempted to pull the Jeep over by activating their overhead lights and sirens but the vehicle failed to stop, according to Chief of Police Joseph Bartorilla.

At the Five Points intersection, the fleeing Jeep ran the red light and struck a Dodge SUV before fleeing into a parking lot in Bristol Township. Footage from videographer Ron Roberts appears to show the Jeep crashed against the fence near the Levittown Post Office.

Bartorilla said the driver of the Jeep, who is suspected of being intoxicated, tried to flee on foot and was arrested a short distance away.
