A Levittown man is in trouble with the law after police allege he teamed up with a former co-worker to steal from their previous employer.

Nathaniel F Deshields III, 37, of Levittown, and Jeffrey Michael Downs, 41, of Philadelphia, were charged last week with burglary, criminal trespass and theft. The two were arraigned and sent to prison on 10 percent of $20,000 bail. Downs bail was later reduced and he was released on his own recognizance.

According to Lower Makefield police, a caller reported suspicious activity last Tuesday night at a home on Plymouth Lane. Once police arrived, they found the men and they claimed to work for a painting company. After contacting the owner of the home, the resident said the painting company had permission to be at their home, police said.
