Jr’s Express Car Wash is changing the game in Levittown.
It’s Jr himself that, with the help of family, took a once struggling full service car wash at the corner of Bristol Oxford Valley Road and New Falls Road with a not-so-good reputation, renovated it, and in just a month and a half has turned it into a place swarming with business.

Jr, the owner of a Bensalem ambulance company and a Pennsbury and Temple University grad, bought the business in November, with the help of hisย family.

“We did a complete facelift here,” he told LevittownNow.com while sitting in a remodeled office in the building’s interior. “Everything is virtually brand new besides nine doors.”
The once vacant car wash has been brushed with bright orange and blue colors, situated on nearly a corner lot, its bright colors have helped to attract those from all over the local area.
For Jr and his dad, who first looked at buying the car wash a decade ago, they were looking for something different.

“The other building was a full service wash, where you get out of your car and everything is done for you while you wait,” he said. “We saw this model as being successful other places and we kinda did it on a hunch that people would like it.”
At Jr’s wash, you can spend between $5 and $15 for a quality wash with free vacuums, you just have to, according to Jr, “sit in your car and ride it through”.

“Your cheapest wash is $5, but your most expensive is $15, you go down the street and your cheapest wash is $9,” he said. “People are realizing they’ve been robbed their whole lives by not having free vacuums. Some places charge $1-3 for three minutes.”

Jr’s Levittown ride-through has had a little bit of a struggle with the new technology and his customers, but he’s not worried about it.
“A lot has been educating people on the process of the wash. We don’t towel dry, people think that’s insane that their car can get dry without it,” he said. “With our state of the art drying system, there is no need for hand drying; plus, it saves our customers from tipping, worrying about dirty towels, and helps get them back on the road faster.”

For those that want a clean car on the regular, Jr has even started offering a monthly wash club membership. The no contract offer, which starts at $27.99 a month, allows purchasers to stop in anytime during the month and an unlimited amount of times to make sure their car always looks its best.
“I’ve found that if you show people how it works and you give them a clean car, they’ll be back,” said Jr.
Jr’s Express Car Wash is located atย 2270 Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Levittown and is open 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.ย
