Township Supervisor Makes Donation To Nonprofit


A Middletown Board of Supervisors member made a donation last week to a local nonprofit, making good on a promise he made when he campaigned for office.

Supervisorย Tom Tosti made good on his campaign promise to donateย his first year’s salary to local nonprofits.ย Last week, Tosti met with Detective Christopher Jones Board of Director membersย Maura McCormick,ย Alison Harasim,ย Janet Seidner and Tom Sofield to present his donation.

The foundation provides emergency relief to areaย residents following emergencies and also annually awards college scholarships to students looking to serve their communitiesย at Bensalem and Neshaminy high schools.

Detective Christopher Jones was struck and killed during a traffic stop in 2009. Jones was a 10 year veteran of the Middletown Township police force and was promoted to detective posthumously.
