Bristol Township police said they responded around 12:30 p.m. Thursday to the JW Transportation in the 2400 block of Durham Road for a reported industrial accident.
An initial investigation has determined the man was working under the edge of the large trailer that did not have wheels or an axle when the forklift holding it up rolled backwards. The man was killed when the trailer fell directly on him, police said.
U.S. Department of Labor Regional Public Affairs Deputy Director said Joanna Hawkins Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the incident. She added JW Transportation has no prior OSHA violations.
