Police Charge Man In Connection With Bristol Shooting

Charges have been filed following a recent overnight shooting in Bristol Borough.

David Black, 20, will be arraigned next week onย two counts of possession of a firearm and one count of possessing drug paraphernalia, according to a statement issued by Bristol Chief Stephen Henry. Black is currently locked up on probation violations.

Police said they responded on Sunday, June 19 to a residence on Cleveland Street for reports of a shots hitting aย residence. No one was home at the time of the shooting, and there were no injuries.

According to the police statement, responding officers found two expended rounds in the playroom of the home at in the 200 block of Cleveland Street. A trajectory study conducted by local police and county detectives indicated that the bullets could have only come from a single location. Further investigation determined Black allegedly fired the rounds, police said.

A search warrant for 267 Cleveland Street was executed two days after the shooting and at least two weapons were retrieved by police.
