A Morrisville man is accused of setting fire to his ex-girlfriend’s car after she failed to contact him after several phone calls.
Ryan Ossmann, 38, is accused of continually harassed his ex-girlfriend after their relationship ended. On March 6, a Bristol Township officer responded to the woman’s home on Plumbridge Drive in Levittown for a harassment complaint. While the officer was at the scene, Ossmann again dialed the victim. The officer spoke to Ossmann on the phone and told him not to call the victim any more, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Shortly after the officer left, Ossmann called twice more and left a message telling his ex-girlfriend that if she did not contact him in 10 minutes “something bad would happen,” stated the probable cause affidavit.
Sure enough, minutes later, the officer was returning to the scene. This time, the victim’s car was ablaze, police said.
The woman told police she heard the car alarm and looked outside to see flames jumping from her car.

The fire was extinguished without incident, according to the probable cause affidavit.
The victim’s car, a Pontiac G6, was totaled in the fire. The value of the car was $10,000.

During an interview with police, Ossmann allegedly admitted to setting the car on fire.
Ossmann was charged with felonies of reckless burning or exploding and risking catastrophe. Ossmann was arraigned Wednesday morning and is being held in prison on 10 percent of $50,000.
