The Board of Bucks County Commissioners recently named lifelong naturalist Jerry Kozlansky to replace retired long-term Silver Lake Nature Center Naturalist Robert Mercer Mr. Kozlansky has educated children and adults for more than 25 years at various agencies stretching from Florida to New England.

He comes to Bucks County government with experience at the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, the Learning Centers of Connecticut and the New Jersey Audubon Society. In addition, he has taught in both private and public schools as an instructor of Biology, Ecology, Physical Science, Algebra and Technology. Mr. Kozlansky earned a Bachelorโs Degree in Environmental Education from the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University and his Masterโs Degree in Teaching from Marywood University in Scranton.
Mr. Kozlansky, his wife and his two daughters have found a home in Pennsylvania while settling into Bucks County. He enjoys hiking the trails at Silver Lake Nature Center and can often be found fishing the Delaware River or mountain biking at some remote location in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
