NEARBY: Man Claiming To Be Utility Work Might Be A Thief

Bensalem police are warning of a possible thief roaming Lower Bucks County.

Police said Thursday morning that they received information a man driving a pickup truck with New Jersey plates was acting as a utility worker and asking residents to leave their homes while he does tree work on their properties.

“We believe that this male is using this excuse to get residents to vacate their homes so that he can steal from the residence,” police said in a statement.

Authorities did note that they have received no word on additional burglaries related to the incidents.

“If you experience a similar situation please contact 911 immediately. All legitimate utility workers will have proper credentials and are required to provide them when asked,” according to police.
