High School Students Bring Sick Kids Cute & Comfy Pillowcases

Provided by the Bristol Township School District:

Truman High School Resources for Living Teacher Beth Hartwick led her students on a mission on May 27 –a mission to bring comfort to the young patients at Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Hartwickโ€™s Resources for Living Class transformed donated fabric into cute and comfy pillowcases for children receiving care at the hospital. More than 150 pillowcases were made and delivered by Hartwick and eight of her students.

The fabric for the pillowcases was donated by Quilts for Kids, located in Langhorne. To return the organizationโ€™s generosity, the Home Economics Department raised money to donate to Quilts for Kids by sponsoring Friday Blue Jeans for Quarters.
