Eighth-grade students from all three of the Neshaminy School District’s middle schools – Carl Sandburg, Maple Point and Poquessing – took to Lake Luxembourg on Monday.

The students enjoyed a day on the lake after completing boating courses and a test. The boat lessons included practice runs in the schools’ pool.

Sandburg physical education teacher Donna Ferro said the students enjoyed the nice weather at at Core Creek Park in Middletown but were met with wind-driven choppiness in Lake Luxembourg.

A picnic lunch and outdoor sports were also at the park for students to take part in during the day.

Health and physical education students from Neshaminy High School helped their peers during boating day.
