The sections of Levittown could soon be seeing a discoloration in their tap water this month.
According to the Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority, flushing of fire hydrants in areas featuring a Levittown mailing address – made up of parts of Falls, Bristol Township, Middletown and Tullytown – will begin this week.

The work will take place between May 3 and will conclude on May 20.
Flushing usually only disrupts water service for about an hour.
The LBCJMA says residents in the neighborhoods where hydrants are being flush can expect to see their water slightly discolored during the process. Officials discourage using the discolored water for drinking, cooking or cleaning.
