
Bristol Township police say they found drugs, drug paraphernalia and 10 cell phones after a car stop Wednesday evening.
Around 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Truman Street and Schumacher Drive in the township. “The anonymous caller described the vehicle as a burgundy Pontiac Grand Prix that was parked there for 25 minutes,” Lt. Terry Hughes said.

Officer Michael Sarcewicz was first on the scene and walked up to the Pontiac and pointed his flashlight inside. The officer, according to court papers, spotted a “sizeable amount” of crack cocaine with occupant.
The man inside the was arrested and identified as 35-year-old Roshie Newkirk, who is reported to have lived in Bristol Township and Philadelphia.
Hughes said police found 28 grams of crack cocaine and a digital scale with white residue on it Wednesday night. A little over $5,200 cash was found on Newkirk.

The street value of the crack cocaine was roughly $2,600, police said.
A search warrant was executed on Newkirk’s vehicle Thursday morning. Two more grams of powder cocaine and 10 functioning cell phones were discovered, Hughes said.

Newkirk was arraigned on charges including possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and set free Thursday morning after 10 percent of $5,000 bail was posted, according to a docket sheet.
