A trash picker found a grenade and transported back to his home in Levittown.
Acting Lt. Ralph Johnson said the trash picker put the grenade, which later turned out to be inert, in his shed. Police were called early in the afternoon and had cleared the scene by 1:40 p.m.

The Philadelphia Police Department Bomb Squad responded and found the grenade to be inert. The device was taken from the scene by trained bomb technicians, Johnson said.
Johnson told LevittownNow.com the grenade was found in trash picked from Morrisville.
Police, fire departments and medic crews stood by until the bomb squad arrived.
