Pastor Vicky Allen, executive chair of LYFT, says, “Today’s children skillfully maneuver through cyberspace while still too young and naive to really recognize potential threats to their safety. As parents we must learn enough new apps and trends in order to educate our kids regarding safe practices and protective boundaries, so they don’t make mistakes that lead them to trouble.”
According to Matthew Weintraub, Bucks County’s assistant district attorney, “The internet puts the world at our fingertips, but it also exposes our children to many hidden dangers. As parents, we must monitor our children’s internet presence, to prevent them from becoming victims to predators. Parental communication and vigilance are the keys to our kids’ e-safety.”

“This educational evening gives Pennsbury parents a real opportunity to raise awareness and start working together to create a more safe and supportive digital environment for their children and the school community” says Jill Laurinaitis, chairperson of Pennsbury Parents for eSafety, who will present guidelines from the group that parents can follow. “Parents also have the opportunity to ask questions of community leaders who have experience with issues that arise with students on a daily basis.”
