Bristol Township police have arrested two men after they allegedly cashed forged checks.
John Rowland, 27, of Warminster, and Christopher Sessions, 32, of Bensalem, were arrested and charged last week with conspiracy, forgery, theft and related offenses. They were sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility unable to post bail.

According to court documents, a woman notified her credit union that an unknown person was cashing checks through the phone on March 15.
Staff at Inspire Federal Credit Union on Bath Road noted that a $700 check had been cashed on March 9, a $650 check had been cashed on March 14 and a third check was cashed in the amount of $660 on March 15. The woman who completed a fraud statement, noted to officers $2,010 had been withdrawn from her account, according to court papers.
On March 16, according to the credit union’s statement, they received a phone call from Rowland, who requested information on how to cash a check he was not a member. Right before 8:30 p.m., Rowland is said to have arrived at the bank with Sessions to cash two more checks, one in the amount of $485 and another in the amount of $500.

Inspire Federal Credit Union reported the fraud to local police, who met the men and credit union staff at their location in Bristol Township. According to a probable cause affidavit, the men admitted to police they knew the checks were fraudulent, that they did not have permission to cash them, and that they had forged her signature. Rowland was found in possession of the woman’s Target credit card.
The two men were taken into custody at the credit union.
