Two people were seriously injured Friday morning when the car they were in crashed in Bristol Township.
According to police, a green Pontiac Grand Prix traveling north on Green Lane passed a tractor trailer on the right and the driver lost control around 8:40 a.m. The Pontiac ended up leaving the road and crashing in Black Ditch Park, police said.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and freed the driver and passenger of the car, police said. Both were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries.
Acting Lt. Ralph Johnson said the passenger allegedly jumped into the Pontiac after a fight broke out between two adults in the Bloomsdale-Fleetwing section. The fight was witnessed via surveillance camera by a community service officer watching the neighborhood’s bus stops from the police station.
After being alerted to the fight, the on duty sergeant dispatched patrol officers to the neighborhood to deal with the incident.

“The responding officer activated emergency lights to change direction and follow the vehicle,” Johnson said. “However, the vehicle crashed before he could engage.”
The Bristol Township Fire Marshal’s Office, Bristol Township Fire Police, Edgely Fire Company, Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, Levittown Fire Company No. 2 and Third District Fire Company responded to the crash along with police.
