Pennsbury Looks To Bring Singer Elle King To Prom

Pennsbury High School seniors are looking to bring county/alternative rock singer Elle King to their prom this year.

On Tuesday, students ramped up their efforts to bring the soulful singer to the nationally respected prom by releasing a YouTube video showcasing the event.

The video invite follows more than a month of requests by students using the #ElleKingtoPHSProm hashtag.

In February, King tweeted that she was kicked out of her own prom and she would love to attend. However, she has not yet formally RSVPed to the prom.

The 26-year-old singer who broke through with the smash hit “Exes and Ohs” in 2015 is the daughter of model London King and TV and film actor Rob Schneider.

In 2013, Pennsbury students unsuccessfully tried to recruit comedian and syndicated TV host Ellen DeGeneres to attend their prom.

Pennsbury Prom, which has previously been called the “best in the nation,” has welcomed John Mayer, Rick Seibold, Ryan Cabrera and Asher Roth.
