Police Sgt. Joe Moors said the woman lost control of her sedan in the area of Commerce Circle by the McDonald’s around 2:55 p.m. The vehicle ended up off the roadway and in the lake off Commerce Circle.

The Philadelphia man was driving by and saw the incident unfold. He exited his vehicle and jumped into the cold water, pulling the woman out of the sinking car through the passenger side, Moors said.

The woman and man who rescued her both escaped injuries.
