At least two flashes lit up the sky and caught the attention of residents of Bristol Borough and Bristol Township Monday evening.
The cause: a malfunction on electric lines by the Turnpike Bridge on Radcliffe Street in Bristol Township’s Edgely section.

Edgely Fire Company Chief Carl Pierce captured the stunning photo of volts of electricity escaping the lines and arcing above the pole.
Pierce said it appeared previous damage caused Monday evening’s problems, which forced authorities to detour Radcliffe Street for several hours in the area of the electrical issue.
