Greetings All,

Starting next month, we begin a new effort to help grow our journalistic and business efforts in Bucks County.

NewtownNowLogoWebFinalIn February, we will be welcoming a new site – NewtownPaNow.com – covering Newtown Borough, Newtown Township, Upper Makefield and Wrightstown. It’s an area with more 30,000 residents and a vibrant business community that is closely linked to the Levittown area.

The new site will be similar to LevittownNow.com but will match the specific needs of the Newtown community. It’s a place where I covered news before coming to the Levittown area and have spent many of my days.

Like LevittownNow.com, NewtownPaNow.com will produce daily content that will educate and inform. For businesses, we will offer advertising and innovative partnerships that are cost effective and reach the community. (Contact us today at advertising@levittownnow.com!)

Our goal for both sites is simple: provide the best and most useful platforms for news and information in Bucks County. We are the only local online-only publication exclusively geared to meeting those goals.

With LevittownNow.com’s more than 80,000 readers, we’ve seen more than 15 million hits on our website since we launched in March 2013 and currently have one of the largest social media followings of any news outlet – online-only, newspaper, radio or magazine – in the Philadelphia suburbs. It’s something we’re proud of, and it would not be possible without all of you, our loyal readers and advertisers.

Since we’ve launched, we’ve learned the true definition of community. It’s not just a mailing address or a town. It is being part of something larger than just us. It’s what keeps us together and helps us grow as individuals. From fundraisers for nonprofits to police activity to business openings, it’s all part of our community and part of the story we want to tell.

While we’ve covered the community – from high points to low points – we plan to become ever more involved in the Levittown and Newtown communities. We are proudly members of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce and the Newtown Business Association. Currently, our team is planning events, speaking with community members, working with our wonderful business partners and nonprofits to see how we can make LevittownNow.com even more beneficial to you.

Our digital platform allows us to have the opportunity to take new risks (using Instagram in storytelling, creating infographics, publishing GIFs and many more examples) and discover new ways to share important local information.

Taking new risks and innovating the local news and business landscape is something we look forward to doing for many years.

Over the next few months, our team will roll out new features including a user-powered marketplace, jobs section, restaurant guide, voluntary subscription service and much more.

Despite the new site and additions to our platform, our core values remain, however, we will approach them with strengthened resolve.

Stay tuned,
