Toddler Seriously Injures Finger At Mall

A toddler-aged child seriously injured their finger during an incident at the Oxford Valley Mall Thursday evening.

The toddler, who officials estimated to be around 2 years old, had their finger seriously damaged or possibly even amputated in the area of the escalator shortly before 7 p.m., police said.

The child was taken to St. Mary Medical Center and flown to a hospital in Philadelphia for treatment.

Although the damage to the toddler’s finger was severe, the injury were not life threatening, police said.

The incident remained under investigation as of Thursday at 8 p.m.
