The near-empty Bristol Plaza Shopping Center will see big changes in the coming months.

U-Haul has signed on to take over the shopping center. The company will open a facility that will only take up about 8,000-square-feet in a portion of the shopping center. The U-Haul center will include climate-controlled storage, truck rentals and hitch installation.

The plans for the rest of the shopping center remain unclear.

The KFC in the shopping center closed late last year as part of the changes.

In recent years, the shopping center has slowly emptied out with more and more stores closing.

Sources told LevittownNow.com in early 2014 that Walmart eyed the property for developing a new Walmart Supercenter. The plans for the new Walmart, which was to replace the Bristol Borough location, did not go forward.
