At 8:10 p.m. Wednesday night, a man walked into the Falls Township police station to report that he believed his friend, Stafford, had killed someone.
During an interview with detectives, the man said Stafford came to his apartment and stated he believed he may have given Alisa Wilson too many sleeping pills. He further said he gave her sleeping pills because he wanted to drive he 2009 Chrysler 300 that she did not let him often drive, according to court papers.
From an affidavit of probable cause:
The defendant (Stafford) was in possession of two purses containing numerous pieces of jewelry and money. The defendant told [his friend] he got the property from his aunt’s residence (Alisa Wilson). [Stafford’s friend] was present when the defendant pawned this property for $220. [Stafford’s friend] drove with the defendant to Philadelphia in Wilson’s vehicle. During the ride, the defendant told [his friend] “he killed her,” referring to Alisa Wilson, and asked [his friend] if he knew how to get rid of a body.

After hearing Stafford’s friend’s story, detectives and a patrolman rushed to Wilson’s apartment at 9:10 p.m. and found no answer when they knocked. When no one answered, they busted down the door and found Wilson dead on the floor of her D building apartment, police said.
A detective on the scene confirmed Wilson, who was in her 60s, was deceased for some time before police arrived.
