Police reported that on Saturday afternoon they were dispatched to the 400 block of Bristol Pike for an alleged protection from abuse violation and a theft from a store register.

According to court documents, Bahr approached a family member at the store, demanding them to give him money and beer or he would not leave. Bahr then left the store, but returned a few moments later by standing in front of the store and bad mouthing the store as customers arrived.

When the family member walked to the front of the store they got into another argument with Bahr before heย entered the store through a service entrance and removed $193 from the store’s lottery register. Bahr then ran north on Spring Street and continued north on Bristol Pike before police located him about a quarter mile away carrying a large piece of lumber.

Bahr was then taken into custody and transported to the Bristol Borough Police Department headquarters. While at the station, $193 was uncovered from his front pocket.

While in the patrol car, Bahr alleged that he had stole from his family member because they had been stealing his social security checks and that he “just took what was his.”

Bahr awaits a preliminary hearing set for January 27.
