A 53-year-old resident of Middletown’s Levittown section pleaded guilty Monday to sexual assaulting two young girls over the course of several years.

The 53 year old pleaded guilty to rape of a child, indecent assault on a person under 13 and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, Assistant District Attorney Kate Kohler told LevittownNow.com. The Middletown man will be sentenced in 90 days, pending a Sexual Offenders Assessment Board evaluation.
According to court documents, the 53 year old performed sex acts on two girls – one 7 years old and the other 12 years old. The molestation happened over a period of several years.
While being driven to the police station in May, the 53 year old told the sergeant that was driving that he “didn’t mean to do it,” Detective David Strother wrote in court papers.

Crime lab analysis showed that fibers from the 12 year old’s pants worn the night of the last sexual assault forensically matched the fibers from the 53 year old’s underwear.
A medical review of the 12 year old showed excessive bleeding inside her vagina. As a result, the girl was prescribed many different medications to treat her for possible venereal diseases, according to the district attorney’s office.

A teenage boy told investigators the 53 year old performing sexual assaults on the two girls.
The incident was reported to police by the girls’ mother.
Both girls told authorities the 53 year old would advise them not to tell others about the sexual assaults.

The 53 year old remains in county prison unable to post 10 percent of $1 million bail.
