The Neshaminy School Board will have several new members come December.
Robert Sanna and Bob Feather were elected Tuesday to represent Region 2, which includes Levittown. They beat out former school board member Robert Tull.

In region 3, which includes Langhorne and a large chunk of Middletown, Marty Sullivan won the race. Staci O’Brien lost by just over 100 votes.
Tina Hollenbach and incumbent Steve Pirritano won Region 1, which includes Lower Southampton.
Feather; Karen Lowry, who unsuccessfully ran in Lower Southampton; O’Brien; and Sanna all ran as part of the Save Our Schools team. The group pledged to reopen the recently closed Samuel Everitt Elementary School in Levittown, move the fifth graders back to the elementary schools and bring more transparency to the district.

“I’m looking forward to the challenges and hopefully making things a little better for the district,” Feather told LevittownNow.com late Tuesday night.
Both Feather and Sanna said they plan to look at reopening Everitt, which is currently in a five-year lease with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU.) They campaigned on the promise of reopening the school nestled in Forsythia Gate neighborhood. The two candidates also pledged to look at moving fifth graders back to the elementary schools.

“We need to look at demographics and how many people we have moving in,” Feather said on the topic consolidating district schools.
Sanna said he hopes to make the district transparent and also save taxpayer funds.
“The votes from Levittown speak volumes about how public feels,” he said. “The public doesn’t like the current board’s plans.”

Feather said he would not move to stop construction on the new 800-student elementary school at the Tawanka School site in Lower Southampton.
Sullivan said Everitt is in a lease with the BCIU, one that he doesn’t support breaking. He did say he wants to evaluate how the fifth graders are doing in the middle schools in the coming months.

“I’m hearing positive things about the fifth grade, but I want to evaluate how it is going in six moths,” he said.
O’Brien said despite all the work that went into the campaign, she is happy she came so close.
