
Pennsylvania State Troopers have successfully taken one man into custody after he allegedly fled from the scene of a traffic stop in Bristol Township.
The trooper noted around 9 p.m. on Monday, he was patrolling the area of Newport Avenue as it approaches Dixon Avenue when a Buick Century abruptly sped up and made a right turn. The officer noted in court documents that the driver veered into opposing traffic when making the turn.

It was then that the trooperย activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop.
Despite the lights and police orders, court documents noted the driver continued at a high rate of speed and drove through numerous stop signs before proceeding onto Carnavaron Avenue and sideswiping three cars before colliding head on with a fourth vehicle.
After striking the vehicle, the affidavit notes the driver, identified as 26-year-old Anthony Daniels, of Philadelphia, fled on foot toward Snowden Avenue for approximately 200 yards before attempting to conceal himself in the woods. A trooper spotted Daniels and deployed his Taser when Daniels ignored the officer’s commands, according to court documents.

As Daniels was placed into custody, troopers located two bundles of unsealed and unstamped suspected heroin inside of a prescription pill bottle. The pill bottle was located approximately 10 feet from where Daniels was apprehended, according to state police.
Neighbors told LevittownNow.com tow trucks were called to remove the crashed vehicles from Carnavaron Avenue late Monday night.

Daniels was charged with possession, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest and related traffic offenses.
