A Fairless Hills man who reportedly admitted he was on a “little meth” when he struck an ambulance and fled the scene last week in Middletown.
Matthew James Wrenn, 32, allegedly left the scene after a side swiped an ambulance at Woodbourne and Oxford Valley Road. Police from Falls Township and Middletown were able to catch up with Wrenn’s Buick Rendezvous a little bit away at the Pathmark in Fairless Hills.

Middletown Officer Jacob Gallagher wrote in an affidavit of probable cause that it was clear Wrenn was intoxicated when he observed him outside the Pathmark. The 32 year old even admitted to doing a “little meth” and even texting when driving at the time of the crash.
Wrenn, whose Buick had a side mirror dangling off of it, said he did not stop after hitting the ambulance because he thought he caused no damage, police said.
A baggie containing suspected heroin was found along with a digital scale with suspected methamphetamine residue, according to court papers. Police said the bag holding the suspected heroin was stamped “ISIS.”

Money outside of a wallet was found with Wrenn, which Gallagher said is often an indication of narcotics sales.
Wrenn said he was not selling drugs, police said.

Wrenn was charged with six drug-related charges, accident involving damage and two summary traffic offenses. He was released on unsecured bail and is set to have a preliminary hearing on Thursday.
