Bristol Borough’s chief of police said his department is investigating Friday morning’s note that caused officials to evacuate the town’s high school.

“At this time, we’re trying to work all types of avenues,” said Chief Arnold Porter. He added that investigators are checking school surveillance video and talking to students.
A sweep of the building turned up no explosives. Two K-9 units from Lower Makefield and one from Middletown searched the building, police said.
Friday night’s football game will go on as scheduled.

A note with the word “bomb” written on it was discovered at Bristol Borough High School Friday morning.

Students were dismissed at 9:30 a.m. after the note was discovered.
According to a district statement, the note was not specific and was anonymous.
Police were not immediately available for comment.

The school last received a bomb threat in 2013. The school was searched by dogs and officers, and the threat was unfounded.
