Detectives from the Bristol Township Criminal Investigations Division have taken one man into custody for allegedly sexually assaulting a Bristol Township minor.

As noted in an affidavit, a 16-year-old girl spoke during a forensic interview with the Bucks County Children’s Advocacy Center in May. She told representatives that in November 2014 she was provided with an alcoholic beverage by Joseph Slover, 36, of Penndel.

The minor noted that the beverage made her feel disoriented, and it was then that Slover removed her pants, underwear and shirt, according to court papers. He then allegedly began to touch her.

The minor was just 15 at the time of the assault, police said.

Court documents noted that the minor repeatedly told Slover “no” and “stop” but was unable to move him off her body.

According to the minor’s testimony to the Bucks County Children’s Advocacy Center, Slover allegedly asked her for oral sex.

Slover has been arraigned by a Bristol Borough judge and charged with unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, indecent assault and furnishing liquor to a minor. He has been remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $200,000 unsecured bail where he waits for a December 2 preliminary hearing.
