SCORE Offer Seminar On Starting A Small Business

SCORE biz meeting graphicLocal entrepreneurs and small business owners are invited to learn new business basics during an Oct. 24 workshop presented by business mentoring nonprofit group, SCORE Bucks County. SCORE is a resource partner of the Small Business Administration.

The three-hour seminar will explain in practical terms how to start and manage a new business. ย Experienced business professionals will cover the basic aspects of sales, marketing and financial management.

Additional topics include selling vs. marketing; traditional and digital marketing; company formation and partnership agreements; targeting customers; potential sources of funding and financial management; developing a business plan; and practical advice from business owners.

In a Bonus Session – for startups or small businesses seeking business bank funding, experts will be available to discuss an attendeeโ€™s business plan, financial proposal and offer insight on how to prepare a 10-minute elevator-style lenderโ€™s pitch. Also, Score members will be available to answer any specific questions that attendees have relating to their business planning.

The โ€œWant to Start or Grow a Businessโ€ seminar will be held on Oct. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Grundy Library, 680 Radcliffe St, Bristol, PA 19007. The workshop is being sponsored by SCORE Bucks County, the Small Business Administration, The Grundy Library, National Penn Bank, the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce and the Pennridge Chamber of Commerce.
