Almost two years after the FYE entertainment store in the Oxford Valley Mall closed, the chain is returning.

According to a mall spokesperson, the chain will be opening a store on the upper level of the Middletown mall just in time for the 2015 holiday shopping season. The store will focus on selling new and pre-owned music, movies, games and similar products.

In December 2013, the large FYE location in the mall closed. The chain has contracted in recent years due to lagging sales.

The mall is also welcoming rue21, which sells men’s and women’s casual apparel and accessories. The store will be located on the lower level next to The Children’s Place.

“As we gear up for another busy holiday season, we’re looking forward to having both of these retailers available to our customers,” said Jim Malervy, the director of marketing and business development at the mall.

The mall has also welcomed Torrid, Clark’s, Gap, Gap Kids, House of Hoops by Foot Locker and Justice in recent months.

Recently, the mall has unveiled 10 mobile charging stations for shoppers to use.

Job seekers are invited to a job fair near the food court Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Mall officials expect about 20 to 25 retailers to be conducting interviews for more than 75 open positions.
