Area firefighters battled two unrelated car fires Tuesday.
The first fire happened Tuesday morning at the intersection of Hulmeville Road and Gilliam Avenue in Middletown. A car was engulfed in flames that were put down by firefighters.

The second fire occurred on Route 1 near Snipes Farm in Falls Township in the afternoon. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames and emitted a dark smoke.
No injuries were reported in either of the fires.
