A 55-year-old tractor-trailer driver escaped injury after he caused his truck to overturn Monday afternoon.

The 55-year-old Connecticut man was speeding on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on-ramp that connects the highway to Route 13 in Bristol Township. Around 1:50 p.m., the truck overturned and landed on its right side, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Troopers wrote in an accident report that the driver failed to drive at a “safe and prudent speed” as he progressed up the 25 MPH ramp.

The driver of the truck was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, state police said.

Troopers from the King of Prussia, Montgomery County barracks investigated the crash. The Montgomery County-based troopers cover a large portion of the turnpike, starting in Bristol Township.
