Fire Company Car Show Brings Out Local Enthusiasts

The eight annual Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Car Show and Family Fun Day offered a wide array of vehicles for the audience to ogle, as well as food, vendors and live music.

One of the stand out cars was custom built by Joseph Goss, 31, from Croydon. The car, an orange one-off t-bucket, had people crowding around during a lot of the show.

Goss got the inspiration from his dad, who built a t-bucket when he was in high school. When he turned 18, Goss took the idea for himself, and with his dad guiding him, began a three year journey to create the car now gathering crowds at local car shows.

“I did everything myself. If it didn’t work, I scrapped it and re-did it,” Goss remembered.

The car uses custom made wheels, and a motor and transmission from a 1969 Camaro.

This year was Goss’ first time attending the fire company car show in Bristol Township. He said he has gone to lots of other local car shows since he moved to Croydon with his wife two years ago.
